Why this website?

Sometimes I get lucky and see a bird when I take my camera outside. These birds may be migrating thousands of miles and happen to land close enough to me at the exact moment along my walks to digitalize these fleeting moments. As much as I would like to take credit for making art, I am simply sharing with you these chance encounters that left a mark on

Who am I?

Now for the boring part that these pages are usually reserved for: you may have guessed by now that my name is Shea. I’m a “weekend” photographer from around Chicago who found my photography hobby slowly dying out as I got older. Though luck would have it that I caught the spark for bird watching and found it to be the perfect way to rekindle my dwindling motivation for photography since the two hobbies naturally synergize so well. Ever since, I’ve incessantly birded every few days and have the pictures to prove it.
